This screen describes the information we may hold on applicants and students and how we may use website contact information for monitoring purposes.
Our system automatically creates the record for each contact made. This information is processed in various ways to create applicant and student records. The data controller for any such personal data is IMUNE. You have the right under various data protection acts to access personal information we store about you. In order to do this a fee of £10/$20/Euro 15 is payable. Any such requests can be addressed to:

When you enquire or register we may use any personal information provided to:
- Process your enquiry on application including provision to you of the appropriate services which may involve the provision of further information to you.
- For service monitoring and planning which may include contact with you by ourselves or an associated body.
IMUNE website may employ cookies as part of monitoring. This facilitates our assessment of the structure and use of our website. This information is confidential within IMUNE.
It is possible for the user to set their browser to refuse all cookies. A cookie is a small data file and can only be read by the organization that installs it: it cannot access any information on your computer or make information from your computer in any way available to other parties.
The basis for access to information is the UK Freedom of Information Act 2000. This is relevant since BVI, where IMUNE is incorporated, operates under British law. The FIA establishes a general right of access to information held by public authorities subject to certain exemptions.
IMUNE wishes to provide full access to it’s operation and facilities and will provide wherever possible responses to reasonable requests.
Specifically under the UK Data Protection Act 1998 you can request IMUNE for any information held about you as an individual. In order to do this an official formatted request using the IMUNE Personal Request for Information Form (available on request) is required. Please note carefully the content of this as partially completed or inappropriate forms will not be processed.
IMUNE may make a charge for providing information. Charges will only be made when satisfying a request which would cost more than the appropriate limit set by the regulations. Currently this is £450. For some requests below this limit charges may be made for copying or other provision of information as detailed below.
In general charges will apply as follows:
- Website: free of charge unless otherwise specified.
- Email: free of charge unless otherwise specified.
- Information by post:
- Up to 25 pages: £5 plus postage.
- 20p per additional page requested.
- Associates and affiliates websites: we do not service these and direct application to the specific website should be made.
- Commercial publications available via IMUNE: at commercial rates.
